n 3D laminated molding, tubular structures cannot be put to practical use unless the resin powder left behind in the internal microstructure and tightly packed can be removed. Even if a scanty structure can be created from the outside, a complex piping structure cannot be commercialized.
Bluestar R&D’s ultrasonic waves penetrate the pipe walls of the 3D laminated structure to reach the interior, and are effective in removing the powder. The mechanism is not fully understood yet, but it is clear that it is possible. Ultrasonic waves can help develop new applications for 3D.
