The Mechanism of Ultrasonic Cleaning, Effective Application Methods, and the Latest Advanced Technologies

Lecturer: Shibano will give an opening address.

To eliminate cleaning techniques reliant on experience and intuition, and to establish a cleaning theory based on experimentation and theory, I founded the Japanese Society for Cleaning Technology in 1993 with the aim of establishing environmentally friendly cleaning technologies. However, the collapse of Japan’s bubble economy and the mass relocation of manufacturing overseas swept participating researchers into Asian manufacturing plants, forcing the Japan Cleaning Engineering Society into hibernation, where it remains today. Thirty years have passed since then. How has cleaning technology evolved to meet the expectations of Japan’s manufacturing industry and lead the world? What advancements has ultrasonic cleaning technology made over the past 30 years? What contributions has it made to the progress of cleaning technology in Asia? In this seminar, we will explain the principles of ultrasonic cleaning technology and the advancements made over the past 30 years using the world’s first high-speed video footage. We will also provide an in-depth explanation of ultrasonic cleaning and cavitation application technology to help expand its use in manufacturing.
